Our story
We believe photography should be accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the diverse communities that engage with it.
Founded by Akinyemi Paul Odulate and Olamide Taiwo, and based in Camden, London, the project grew out of C.I.M.E Lab — a Black-owned film photography lab dedicated to community, affordability, and creative access.
What began as a shared love for film photography has evolved into a community-focused initiative that centres people, process, and purpose over perfection.
Our Vision
Is a diverse and inclusive creative landscape where film photography is accessible to all and valued as a powerful means of storytelling, healing, and community connection.
Our Mission
Is to make film photography an accessible tool for community building, self-expression, and mental well-being. Through affordable, inclusive programmes, we create spaces where people can slow down, reflect, connect, and tell their stories.
Our Values
Accessibility: Removing financial and cultural barriers to creative participation
Inclusivity: Creating spaces where all voices and perspectives are welcome
Community: Prioritising connection, collaboration, and shared growth
Well-being: Using creativity as a tool to support mental and emotional health
Sustainability: Building long-term impact through thoughtful, people-first practices
