Our Commitment
This Code of Care outlines how we show up for one another and what participants, facilitators, partners, and collaborators can expect when engaging with The C.I.M.E Project.
We believe creativity thrives when people feel safe, respected, and valued.
“This Code of Care is not fixed. It will continue to evolve through listening, learning, and community feedback.
Together, we are responsible for creating spaces where creativity, care, and connection can grow.”
Our Shared Values
All C.I.M.E Project spaces are guided by the following principles:
Respect — We respect each other’s identities, experiences, boundaries, and perspectives.
Inclusivity — We welcome people of all backgrounds, abilities, genders, sexualities, races, cultures, and experience levels.
Care — We prioritise emotional and mental well-being alongside creative exploration.
Community — We value collaboration, kindness, and shared growth over competition or perfection.
Accountability — We take responsibility for our actions and their impact on others.
What We Ask of Everyone
When participating in C.I.M.E Project activities, we ask that you:
Treat others with kindness, respect, and consideration
Listen openly and engage without judgement
Honour personal boundaries, consent, and comfort levels
Be mindful when photographing people — always ask for consent where appropriate
Respect shared spaces, equipment, and the surrounding community
Avoid discriminatory, harmful, or exclusionary language or behaviour
Photography & Consent
Photography is central to what we do, but consent is essential.
Always ask before photographing someone directly
Respect a “no” without pressure or explanation
Be especially mindful when photographing children, vulnerable individuals, or private moments
Participants may choose not to be photographed or have their images shared publicly
C.I.M.E Project facilitators will always make space for participants to opt out of photos or documentation.
Zero Tolerance for Harm
The C.I.M.E Project has zero tolerance for:
Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any form of discrimination
Harassment, intimidation, or bullying
Hate speech or harmful behaviour, whether verbal, physical, or online
If behaviour goes against this Code of Care, we may ask individuals to step away from the space or leave an activity. This is to protect the safety and well-being of the community.
Support & Reporting Concerns
If something doesn’t feel right, you deserve to be heard.
You can speak to a facilitator during an event
Or contact us privately after an activity
We will always take concerns seriously and respond with care, confidentiality, and respect.
